Studio Classes

I am very discerning of the studios where I teach. All of these places are welcoming and have some sort of service or social justice piece attached to them. 

 Abhaya Yoga in Dumbo and Gowanus is where I received my 200 & 500 hour certifications. It has a non profit attached to it whose mission is to bring yoga to underserved women and children in the local area.

Classes at Abhaya 

Mondays 12:30-1:30pm (Gowanus Location) Foundations This class is an alignment foundational yoga class. Suitable for all levels.

Fridays (Dumbo Location) 6:30-8pm Bhakti Flow This class is a sweet combo of chanting mantras, mindful, heart opening movement, and guided meditation. 

  Naked In Motion  is a celebration of all bodies and a place to practice challenge social stigma around nudity. Most classes are co-ed, and there are women only as well as queer and trans friendly options as well.

Fridays 12-2 PM Co-Ed Naked Yoga This for anyone interested in trying out naked yoga. The class is all levels (note that the movement part only lasts 75 mins- but we rent the space for two hours to allow time to read community guidelines and to chat after if desired.


 Third Root Community Health Center has social justice at the core of its healing practices. Diversity and inclusivity is prioritized and students come to Third Root for that sense of "home." It is a worker-owner cooperative that believes in democracy in the workplace.

Thursdays 6:45-8PM Gentle Yoga-this class is great for those who work long hours and want to recharge. Also great for those with injuries or other needs. 

Thursdays 8:15-9:30PM Flow & Restore - this class is a great balance of vinyasa and resorative yoga. We start active, moving with the breath, and then restore/rest for 25 minutes.

 Shambhala is a welcoming yoga studio offering a variety of classes and workshops and healing modalities. It has been in Prospect Heights since 2001, and is currently owned by  Deanna Green

Mondays 7:00am-8:05am All Levels Vinyasa This is a breath based flow class designed to start your week on a mindful note

Wednesday 6:30-7:45pm Natal Yoga This for the expecting parent or new parent! We flow safely for the pregnant body, and offer variations for new parents. We always incorporate pelvic floor work/deep core work that may assist with a functional childbirth and help rebuild pelvic floor muscles after childbirth.
